Chew Stoke, Somerset
This Location Is Great For
Stone walls, cosy interiors, and countryside quiet — Sunny Patch is a beautifully renovated stone cottage in the heart of Chew Stoke village. Downstairs, a fully-equipped kitchen opens onto a long, private, fully-enclosed garden with an outdoor dining table and barbecue. Upstairs, two double bedrooms (one can be configured as twin singles on request) share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a rainfall shower guests consistently rave about. It's ideal for two to three guests — sleeps four at a squeeze, though cosy at full capacity with one shared bathroom. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, with lovely walks from the front door around nearby Chew Valley Lake.

The cottage is accessed through the gate marked "2 Sunny Patch" — note that the postcode brings satnavs to the opposite side of the road, so look for the gate on your left as you approach from the village. Please drive carefully on arrival, as the road can be busy at school drop-off and pick-up times.
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome — please keep them downstairs and wipe muddy paws at the door. The cottage is ideal for 2–3 guests; it sleeps 4 but is cosy at full capacity with one bathroom shared between bedrooms.

A great stay — a touch smaller than the photos suggest, but cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beautiful area, and Robin was super friendly and helpful throughout.
